Ben Locke
Ben Locke was a deck boy on the Valencia and did not survive the disaster. From Tacoma, Washington, he was just 17 years old and had been working on ships for years. He transferred from the steamship Santa Rosalie recently when it was undergoing repairs. He had been on the Valencia for just a couple of runs. His body was never recovered.
