J.D. Wasson
J.D. Wasson was a second-class passenger on the Valencia that registered under the name J.B. Shannon. He worked as a salesman for the Armour Packing Company in Seattle. It is unclear as to why he travelled under the name J.B. Shannon on the Valencia. His identity was only discovered in late February when a letter was received in Seattle from his wife in Missouri. Though they had separated two years ago and she was seeking proof of his death in order to receive the $1000 insurance policy she had on him. It does not appear in any records that his body was found or identified.
